A range of high quality products marrying tradition, expertise,
innovation and research
REGULATION
International regulation: the use of oak alternatives
is authorised (resolution OENO 9/2001 of the OIV)
European regulation: "the use of pieces of
oak" is authorized since December 20, 2005 (Payment EC N°
2165/2005 = modification of the appendices N° 1493/1999). Each
Member State must decide regarding possible applications within
its country. Until such decisions are made by member states, the
old regulation remains in force (ie wood alternatives are not authorised,
but can be the subject of experiments under the control of a competent
organization (DGCCRF for France)).
